I found that the evolution of posters throughout the decades depend on the culture, events, and their audience. It was interesting how it started off as a way to idolize certain people or shame others. In earlier years, posters were meant to show the grand lifestyle of the healthy. However, the presentation of many posters changed once they began to market and sell things. The use and placement of type, color and illustrations were able to sell products. There are some posters such as the Priester matches poster that rely on very few elements but can still convey a message through illustration and the bold colors being used.
