Viv Lopez - In Class Blog Post

I'm really fascinated by woodblock printing. I think it's interesting that all those examples were made by multiple layers of woodblocks. I think that the details in those posters (like the lady in the detailed kimono) are amazing. I'd like to know more about the transition from Japanese woodblock printing to western screen printing. I think that some of the examples appear muddier than the woodblock examples. I'd like to talk more about the difference and how those came to be. I think it'd also be very interesting to dive further into pass productions besides, woodblock, lithography, etc. Like what came when, examples of differences before and after.

We also talked about the constructivist, John Heartfield and used one of the examples that I found for my blog post this past week. I thought he was really interesting. However, we just arrived/ended on him but I hope to hear more about him.
